I would like to share some experiences with Lagniappe Eye Care. I love Dr. Marcev! There is an assistant that helps with stuff before getting to see Dr. Marcev that is great as well. The rest of the staff, not so good. Let me list some of the things I’ve experienced because it’s too long to explain:
- labeled contacts wrong for my daughter (she wore incorrect contacts in her eyes with pain for 4 months before realizing what had happened)
- put coating on my glasses when specifically requested NOT to have coatings, then denied this
- went to complain about glasses before warranty was up about spot in center of the lens and told again there were no coatings but the spot could not be buffed out
- went after warranty was up on my glasses and told there were coatings but warranty was out so nothing they could do
- went to get my glasses when in a time crunch, told to sit down and someone would be right with me. I watched the person to be “right with me” share a video on her phone and discuss things for 7 minutes before going to check on my glasses.
- ordered contacts for my other daughter, they were on backorder. about 2 months after they were ordered, I finally called about them. Told they were in, went next day to pick them up. Signed for them 10-13-2015 and told I was called to be notified they were in around 9-10-2015 (one time, I didn’t answer, so I was not notified again). She went two months wearing the trial pair from the eye appointment.
- took my daughter’s glasses in because a film on them started peeling off and was told I would have to pay for new lenses because she obviously did something to them to put the film on them since they did not have any coatings on them. Now, my daughter is smart and good, but good enough to put a fine layered film on her glasses lenses?? This was the last straw, so while I love Dr. Marcev, I nor my family will probably not be returning as patients. I may consider using her for my doctor and going elsewhere for glasses and contacts. My family spends about $1,000 a year after what the insurance pays for our eye care, contacts and glasses. I feel this should come with better service.
